Who We Are & What We Do
Our story
Calvary (CCC) met for worship the first time on April 2, 1989. Fifteen families had committed to a fellowship grounded in the Bible as the Word of God and intent upon sharing the gospel of salvation in Jesus Christ alone and growing disciples in his name. The choice was made to affiliate with the Evangelical Free Church of America, a movement of autonomous churches—churches committed to a common faith, obedience to the Word of God, and cooperation with one another in mission.
Exactly two years after the first worship service, CCC enjoyed moving into a new building at our current location. With continued growth, building expansion was necessary. The new addition was dedicated in 2006. Pastor Donald Moore was called to serve as Senior Pastor in 2017, with Pastor Daniel Evertson called as Associate Pastor in 2019.
Prayer: Communicating with God
Bible Knowledge: Familiarity with the truth of God’s Word
Evangelism: Telling others the good news about Jesus
Leadership: Influencing others to pursue God’s purpose for them
Obedience: Submitting to God’s revealed will and to prompting by the Holy Spirit
Authenticity: Being real and genuine; without hypocrisy
Fellowship: Building community by investing time, encouragement, and love for one another
Shepherding: Taking a pastoral interest in all the “flock”
Vibrant Worship: Celebrating God’s goodness and grace with heartfelt joy
The vision for Calvary Community Church is a multi-generational community of Christ-followers who are knit together in caring and intercessory relationships, and who are enlisted in service to an outwardly focused mission through a strategic and effective structure.
